Water is a collage of sketches on the characters of various ocean animals. It begins with a slow introduction which suggests the spaciousness of the sea. A pod of dolphins swims by, playfully dancing, followed by several skittering crabs. The centerpiece of the movement is a single beautiful, gracefully gliding whale. Schools of brightly colored fish then dart by rapidly, only to be chased off by some menacing sharks. The tongue-in-cheek ending reflects our stereotype and irrational fear of these powerful creatures.
